I ordered a camera strap from Adorama. The pricing and communication throughout the whole process was great. With this order, UPS SurePost service was used which is a hand off from UPS to USPS. The drawback is that USPS does not update their shipping info in a timely manner. The shipping time was just as described but USPS made me wonder for a day if the package might be lost. This is not Adorama's fault. The camera neck strap is great!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Many other choices out there to order from so don't get a potential headache from this company. Horrible customer service. I placed an order for a daily deal item which seemed like a great price but little did I know that it would not be honored. I received an order confirmation that day and then checked daily for my order shipping information. Nothing for 5 days, then I receive an email telling me that "As we have not heard back from you and we are still unable to verify your information, your order has now been canceled." I immediately checked my email for anything from Adorama asking for verification...nothing. I figure that this will easily be fixed by calling customer service and verifying things over the phone. Nope, can't help you. I try to explain that I never received a call or email asking for verification and yes, I also checked my spam folder. They ask me if I received anything from "Forcer," perhaps a fraud detection unit they use? Nope nothing. Then they tell me that I can just reorder the item again but I explain that it will not be at the discounted price. I'm told that maybe someone in the sales department can help place the order for me at the sale price. I get transferred to a sales rep who basically says, I don't know why your order was cancelled but I can only place an order for the current price or an open box return which is still more expensive then what I ordered. So you can't help me? Nope. Why transfer me to the sales guy just so I can explain the whole thing and still get nowhere? So he sends me back to customer service who says they can't help me. Really? Was this so complicated? DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

SCAM ALERT! DO NOT MAKE LARGE PURCHASES WITH THIS COMPANY! FILING A LAWSUIT!
I originally made a purchase of over $2000 on 04/02 and the package was supposed to be delivered on 04/07, but I never received it. I called to notify Adorama that I didn't receive my purchase and I have been sent on a wild goose chase. They originally told me that I needed to wait 48 hours before they could open a claim with UPS, which is false. Then, after waiting 48 hours they still didn't open a claim until I called two more times over a two-day period. Once I finally reached the "claims department" I was told that I would need to wait 10 more business days for UPS to finish their investigation. I waited 12 business days, with no response. Then I decided to call and get in contact with a supervisor, which is nearly impossible. I was told that I would be called back by a supervisor on two different occasions, and I never received a call. At this point it has been 22 days (16 business days), since starting this journey and it has been the worst experience of my life.
Now that the "UPS Claim" is finished, they now say that they need their own security department to complete an investigation. However, they won't provide a time window or specific date that the investigation will be finished.
While some of their customer service representatives are nice and helpful, the majority of them are not. One specific "claim representative" named Red R. is extremely rude and belligerent. On all three occasions that I attempted to contact a supervisor, I was only ever transferred to Red R, who is definitely not a supervisor. He then proceeded to raise his voice and argue with me because I nicely asked to speak with his supervisor.
Today, 04/29, I successfully waited nearly 1.5 hours on hold to finally speak with a supervisor named Lance. Lance reviewed my case and said that he "doesn't know how long this will take."
Obviously, with no end in sight, I have had to take matters into my own hands. I am lucky enough to have a colleague that practices e-commerce law and he advised me to file a small claims lawsuit for the purchase and lost wages, which has totaled to around $4300 at this point.
If you are unsure about this company, just go check out their BBB reviews, then make a decision about making a purchase with them. WARNING: You do not want to have to deal with their customer service department. They will give you the run-around to save their money.
I have a verified student account with Adorama. I talked with them about trading in my Sony A72 with lens and was offered $500. However, another company offered me $745. Then Adorama offered me 600, then 650 and finally told me they would match the other company's offer. However, when I sent it in they claimed there was a scratch on the camera screen and only offered me 600. I know for a fact that the camera was in mint condition and there were no scratches on it or on the lens. When I complained, he offered me another $50. I felt really disrespected and will not do business with them again. Beware of this behavior, especially if you are trying to trade. This is not a good way to treat customers. I understand they want to make a profit but they shouldn't insult their customers to do it.
Terrible shipping from their warehouse. They basically shipped my speakers in the thin packing cardboard they receive the merchandise in from the manufacturer. In other words, insufficient for UPS/FedEx. When I called to complain that my speakers were damaged, their 800 number was disconnected. Not a great sign..
so I contacted them thru chat and tried to initiate the return process. They said a return would take weeks. I explained that I am leaving the state and will not be here to receive their package in two or three weeks, and the agent literally copy and pasted the same statement back to me. I have no idea if/when I will receive a return from them. Now I have to initiate a charge back thru my credit card. Truly terrible experience and would not recommend to anyone when there are literally thousands of online retailers that have mastered a concept as simple as shipping a box correctly.
I had been a loyal Adorama customer for years dating back to the 1990's in NY. I decided I would trade in my old gear and buy new from them. But this time, it all went downhill fast.
First, they messed up my order online and overcharged me. After correcting the mistake, I went through the process three times and had to wait almost 2 weeks for delivery. This is after I became a VIP member with a promised 2 day delivery window.
Since I had already shipped my old gear, I had nothing to film with and had to delay a client for 2 weeks to begin filming so I lost money on that. A few days later, I finally get a call on my old gear and they try to undersell me by over $1,000.00 off the quoted price. My camera was in great condition and I could have sold it for much more, but after an hour of wasting time on the phone we finally settled in the middle and I took a $500 loss.
Now once my new gear arrived I was happy, but I had a slight problem on set with the new Ronin gimbal as one of the motors seemed to have a hiccup at about 70% movement.
Adorama told me to send it in and they would offer an expedited service to replace it. I figure I am going to be down a gimbal a day or two and I'd make it up. 2 days pass and I hear nothing, even though I was promised a replacement. I call back and they tell me they are sending it today. Another day passes and nothing. I call and get online again, and they tell me it is being sent. Again, nothing comes. Now it's a week later and I'm trying to explain to my client why there's no gimbal.
I call Adorama for a 5th time and the customer service rep tells me there is none in stock and they have no date to ship. They will offer me a $350 credit when a new gimbal costs $499 plus tax. After all the excuses they spit at me, it's 8 days later and I have no replacement.
Finally today, I was told that they would ship a replacement and make this right.

I order nobember 28 an i still waitting the ipad. I tried contac customer service but no body aswer the phone.
Purchased a Sony Alpha a7 III camera with a 24-70 f/2.8 G Master Lens. The package came and I was surprised to find a Sony Vario-Tessar 24-70mm F/4 lens in the box. I was never consulted about the swap nor do I want this lens when I purchased a much nicer lens. Pure bait and switch!
The site is misleading and the shipping is super slow. One of the items went on backorder a week later (customer service said that it was in stock a few days after I ordered). However, they held back all the other items as well till the backorder item arrived. Customer service giving standard responses
Lens (400 mm 5.6) looks like new. So far it works like a charm. Shipping was fast-arrived earlier than anticipated. Thanks
Kits can be a tad misleading in stock availability, but I rethought my purchase and bought the 6D Mark II and I am in love with it!
One of the items I received was not what I expected. Turns out I ordered the wrong thing. Good news: exchange process is super easy!
I got my package on time, but getting the order to confirm before it sent took a long time.
